Gay sex was practiced for 27,000 years according to exhibit in Spain
Sexual freedom comes from pre-history. That will be shown in an exhibition organized by researchers of the largest archaeological site in the world, Atapuerca, Spain.
The inscriptions found by arquiĂ³logos indicate that homosexual sex was common in the Paleolithic and that prehistoric man was a fan of true "Kama Sutra".
An engraving on a stone slab of the French cave of La Marche shows what appears to be having a relationship with another woman. Also in La Marche, a plate of 12,000 years contains drawings of two men having anal sex.
In another limestone cave in the Dordogne, the drawings show two women with legs intertwined in the position known as scissors and dated 27,000 years ago.
Other pieces show several lesbian couples on the Rhine. In one, 12 thousand years ago, two of them rubbing their breasts appear in Atittudes loving.
Archaeological studies are considered homophobic by not addressing homosexuality in prehistoric times. This time everything changed. "Almost no studies and conferences do not address the issue. However, the first Homo sapiens arrived in Europe were anatomical and brain-like us," explains the coordinator of prehistoric caves in Cantabria, Spain, Marcos GarcĂa Diez.
A true "Kama Sutra"
The show "Sex in the Stone" shows that our ancestors were followers of a true "Kama Sutra" in the Paleolithic. The engravings show sex with animals, threesomes, voyeurism, masturbation, oral sex and use of vibrators in addition to homosexual relations.
The show debuts in September at the Atapuerca Foundation headquarters in Ibeas of Juarros (Burgos), northern Spain, and runs until 2011.
