-You just have to love this item: ticket sales were so bad for a Sarah Palin speech in Jacksonville, Florida they had to move her from a 2,900 seat arena to one with only 600 seats. God is good.
-Many of you might have heard of the poll completed by the Providence Journal that found 59% of the citizens of Rhode Island support marriage equality. What is amazing is that Rhode Island's citizens are 63% Catholic! The state has the highest percentage of Catholics in the country.
Elizabeth-hasselbeck-Elisabeth Hasselbeck (photograph) joins the growing chorus of conservative Republicansendorsing marriage equality. Such icons as Laura Bush, Megan McCain, Cindy McCain, Steven Smith, George Will, Vice President Cheney and Glenn Beck have jumped on the marriage equality bandwagon. Wouldn't you think with all these people endorsing marriage equality thatPresident Obama would start feeling ashamed of his failure to add his voice?
-The governors races in the 2010 elections are heating up. This year they have special importance because of the upcoming reapportionment battle.Rasmussen Reports has seven states listed as "Toss-Up Races" and they are: California, Florida, Maryland, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont.
-Last weeks poll on davidmixner.com was quite revealing about theimportance of marriage equality in the LGBT community. When ask if marriage equality was legal nationwide what would be their personal position, they responded in great numbers: 35% said they were already married or engaged, 45% want to get married and only 20% expressed no interest in getting married.
-Well Russian billionaire German Sterligov sure hasn't heard about the concept of 'compassionate conservatism'. The oil magnate on a Moscow radio show simple said that all homosexuals should be put to death. Money certainly hasn't mellowed this guy.
-One of my favorite senators, Kirsten Gillibrand, is knocking her Republican opposition dead. She is leading any of her Republican opponents by over 20% according to the latest Siena Poll.
