Ja Rule wants everyone to know that he and his wife are fine, and he’s not about to leave her for his former prison cellmate. Responding to unsourced media reports that he and wife Aisha Atkins are splitting up — and that he was leaving her to be with his former cellmate — Ja Rule and his wife posted a picture where they are both kissing and extending their middle fingers. 

Along with the picture, the rapper posted the caption: “Sorry to disappoint all the haters who want the rumors to be true so bad lol.Merry Xmas stupid love Mick&Mal.Lmao” The rumors started thanks to a website that quoted Atkins revealing the affair on the MTV show Married Life After Prison. “He wrote all them love songs and still don’t know how to treat a b***h,” Atkins was quoted as saying on the show. “We spent ten-plus years building our marriage but it only took him two to decide he’d rather suck a d*** than be with his wife.” 

Ja Rule was released from prison earlier this year after spending two years for a gun charge. He was also convicted in 2011 of failing to pay more than $3 million in taxes, and served a second sentence concurrent to his original one. He came home immediately after being released from prison, but the report this week quoted Atkins as saying he immediately left to be with his gay lover. The rapper had already slammed the rumors on Twitter. “OK I guess I have to address the idiots these rumors are FALSE LIES made up by some non mf factor website CLOWNS lmao…” While he is denying the gay affair, Ja Rule has admitted in the past that he’s not always been the best husband.
