“Duck Robertson’s Clean Living is Living with a Close Mind and Dark Heart? and How it ALL Went down

crazy facial hair

When “Duck Dynasty” of A&E decided that he is such a hit that he can open up in a public forum and in the name of religion and clean living would disparage gay men (not lesbians? He probably enjoys two chicks getting it on) and blacks (even though no one is talking about that, not as hot as gays, because gays are hot right now putting the fear of god in homophobes all over the world from the President of Russia pushed by the Orthodox church to bring a law from the old USSR, to a couple south americans head of state).

Actually there is no other excuse used as successfully to condemn law abiding tax paying citizens in the USA or anywhere in the world as ‘God’. Why is this? This is so because that’s the way it’s been always. You want to put someone down with authority not because you have a close mind, dark heart or both but because it makes god unhappy and mad. They never stop to think if what they are saying could be against what their god might be looking for particularly on the anniversary of Christ’s birth.

It is attributed that Christmas is holy and Peace to the world, love among men etc. should be wished at this time of the season.  Be that as it may it looks like god was not consulted before the Duck came out with a judging hammer to the fellow men because some men love other men to the point of just wanting to partner with one alike one selfs. Girls don’t matter, why mention them? They are sexy beings and all these rules where not written on commenced by any women.  It was men. It is times like these that could give a normal guy a rush of high blood pressure being since I would have loved to be there as he is judging other people’s sexuality it would be fair to ask him what turns him on. Missionary, doggie, feet, SandM, the girls getting it on while one looks and prays for peace to the world?

A guy named Bragman, who himself is gay and producer of the “Duck’ said that this controversy seemed to be occurring  during the time when American culture is undergoing  a profound shift in feelings towards gay rights. “The tide has turned in that there an inevitability to gay marriage and gay rights in this country,” he said, noting that New Mexico’s highest court coincidentally upheld same sex marriage rights on Thursday, the day after A&E made the announcement and one day past it was Utah’s turn, where a Federal appeals Judge ruled that to ban gay marriage is unconstitutional.

As I reported yesterday in the “Scalia’s Domino Theory” prediction from Justice “Duck”  Scalia who said on his written opinion at the demise of Prop8 and DOMA that the courts decision on favor of gays would have a domino effect as to say you can’t rule for these people because other people will agree with us and give them their rights. I asked, what justice is got to do with that? People that don’t like some other people tend to not go for justice but for religion and fear, never mind that in our constitution and in most civilized nations religion and government is separated. Remembering the devastation that religion brought to the world when the two where the same. Modern man looking for betterment and ‘justice’ decided that both are not compatible and they both have different interests at heart. Religion has noting to do with justice or democracy or all of those things we hold good and true.  Religious zealots will be the first ones to say that. They look only for the justice of god which can come with  wrath sometimes.

Governments on the other hand are formed to and supported by the money of the taxed to bring justice and the rule of law to everyone without exceptions. Even the worse murderer would have rights, one of them is marriage even behind bars. Religion meddling in government is kept women (they are at a lower level than men, taken from the rib, the bible says), blacks ( they were slaves and the bible says for the slaves to obey their masters”), gays because Leviticus says so and many other things from what you should eat to having multiples wives (is called the “Law’ for Israelites to follow and no longer in place for Christians because we now are living in the period of grace, according to Christ the law does not apply but the grace because his coming to the world as a man to carry the sins of the sinner.

A dozen hours or so it was learned that duck Robertson had been placed on indefinite hiatus for telling GQ magazine, among other things, that gays are headed to hell, more than half a million people liked an impromptu Facebook page demanding the show be boycotted until he returns.

Former Alaska Governor stopped watching Russian President Palin from her window as she stated and rush to say that free speech rights are being trampled. Again she exaggerated since nobody stopped the duck Robertson from making his comments or GQ from publishing them; But as we know we humans live our lives making choices and every choice has it’s own reward or punishment. To disparage people today is not the same as 20 years ago when candidates for President  made similar comments. Now the president of the United States believes in equal rights for gay citizens and lesbians too.

A&E acted so quickly it left no time for gay people to organize to boycott the show. They already had seen how much money can be lost when their assets become other than what they were hired for and become preachers of injustice. A&E did the right thing. Having made that choice A&E is now in the middle of gays and people that like the ducks’ beard and don’t care what kind of little crawlers might be housed there. There are millions of them and they have become vocal. Some had a jerk reaction to A&E decision without reading the GQ interview.  After all if you like how the duck dresses chances are you don’t read GQ. They thought he was being singled out for expressing his views.

The Duck don’t have to be in front of camera for a few months, so we will see how his loyal viewers stay firm and wether there is a good apology from the Duck and a back down from A&E.  A&E is pondering  wether gays in the US ares firmer than stubborn viewers which will be lost if the duck does not return. What they will be doing is carrying survey pools to see how many gays watch the show. They will re-identify their audience again and see what the numbers bring and like any money making enterprise the numbers do the talking.

Meanwhile this is the talk of the town but as more victories in red states occurs due to politicians affirming gay civil rights or positive court decisions it is very possible that the media might just find another juicy story about gays that might bring more numbers in readers.

This is a teaching moment for all of us to see how far we’ve come in the way of power due to a lot of us coming out. What this man did was clearly wrong and A&E has so stated it. If that view persists it would be out of respect to a population in hiding with zero(0) rights to a community of people fed up of being called subhuman deserving of hell, punishment, beatings and denial of service wether a room to stay the night or a cake for a wedding.  Thanks to those with the courage that they are what they are and just like the Duck comes on cam with a dirty beard and hippie outfit to make millions of dollars and nobody gives it a second thought until now, so the those courageous people that come out every day realizing that there is no sense in hiding unless you think you are committing a crime.

If anyone thinks they are committing a crime or sin by having a certain color skin, being born the way they are (gay) the best solution is a non religious, non-bias, good therapist. No health insurance? Obama Care will pay for it.

Just as I finished typing this post the Huffington Post reported the following:

It looks like Phil Robertson's suspension from "Duck Dynasty" may be just for show. Entertainment Weekly learned that on Jan. 15, A&E will begin airing new episodes of the show that include scenes featuring the "Dynasty" patriarch.
"The network also hopes the media and fan furor will cool down over the holidays and that tensions over shooting future episodes can then be resolved," Entertainment Weekly reports. “There’s no negotiation to have; we’re doing the show,” an inside source told them.

But at the same time TMZ reports how the thing went down and why:

"Phil Robertson disrespected gay employees at A&E ... and THAT'S why he was sacked from "Duck Dynasty" ... sources connected with the network tell TMZ.

We're told A&E CEO Nancy Dubuc felt she could not  in good conscience ask gay employees to kill themselves for a show when he disrespected them by calling them sinners.

Our sources say ... gay employees involved in the production -- and there are a number of them -- were outraged by Phil's comments to GQ and wanted Dubuc to give him the ax.

We're told Dubuc felt this way ... If Phil had made similar comments about African Americans or Jews ... there would have been a public outcry for his head.  She felt it was just plain wrong not to have the same sense of indignation when the comments were directed at gays.

Our sources say GLAAD was heavily involved in lobbying the network to 86 Phil, and they had an impact.

As for TMZ's criticism that A&E knew full well what it was getting with Phil when they hired him ... as one source put it, "He just took it too far with GQ ... especially with the coarse language."

Our sources say A&E is adamant -- this has nothing to do with being "anti-religion."  Fact is ... the network runs lots of religious programming, notably, Mark Burnett's "The Bible."

The CEO is paying the price.  We’re told she's been receiving death threats."
