CNN Poll: Gay Marriage Support Over the Top
According to a new poll conducted by CNN, a majority of  Americans now believe gay and lesbian couples should have a constitutional right to get married. This is the first national poll that shows a majority or participants to back marriage equality.
52% of those who responded to the poll said there should be a constitutional right to same sex marriage, whereas only 46 % percent said marriage should remain for heterosexual couples only.
Of course, with the margin of error the poll isn’t concrete in it’s finding that a majority of Americans support marriage equality, but it is would appear that anti-gay groups like NOM won’t be able to continue claiming that a majority of Americans oppose same-sex marriage, which could be instrumental in the ultimate decision over Prop 8.
