Brazilian supermodel Lea T Going Through Transition

(French Vogue)Brazilian supermodel Lea T is going through part of a process that is sometimes called a “sex change.” However, for Lea T and others in her situation, the process is more properly known as transition. “Sex change” is a term that is used by people who are not aware of the entire process of transition.
Lea T, 28, was born Leandro Cerezo. However, she feels that she was born with a body that did not reflect the gender that she was in her own brain. As part of the model’s transition, she is undergoing hormone replacement therapy right now. Eventually Lea T will complete the transition process with a surgery that will help change her body to match her gender. Professionally the striking model is the face of a new ad campaign for Givenchy. She is a fixture on the catwalk and the world of high fashion like supermodels Gisele Bundchen and Adriana Lima who came before her. She appeared in Italian “Vanity Fair” last month.
In this month’s “French Vogue” Lea T posed nude. Her genitals were covered in the photo, and they have not yet been surgically altered. She appears to be handling her transition process well, and has had enormous success as a supermodel.
Lea T is a super role model as well for those who are transgendered. She is one who is lucky enough to have the funds to complete the transition process. There are many people throughout the world who face this challenge.
