Navigaytour Announces New Orleans Gay Guide

BY ON TOP MAGAZINE STAFF
Navigaytour has released its latest gay city guide. The New Orleans
guide arrives as the city prepares to welcome thousands of gay travelers.
and a printed version is promised in time for the 39th Annual Southern Decadence Festival, one of the largest gay festivals in the world.
Southern Decadence attracts over 100,000 revelers to the Big Easy's
centrally located gay-friendly French Quarter over the long Labor Day
 weekend.
“Talking about 'gay-friendly' sections of this city is like insinuating
that only some New Orleans food is good,” editors wrote in the
32-page guide. “This distinctive city and its people are welcoming
to gays and lesbians, and value gay travelers.”
The guide highlights bars, clubs, accommodations, events,
neighborhoods and attractions of interest to the gay traveler.
It also includes coupons for local businesses and the first-ever
Gay History Trail Map for New Orleans.
Navigaytour produced its first gay city guide for Philadelphia in 2004.
Since then, it has added gay destinations Chicago, Los Angeles,
San Diego and Pittsburgh to its growing library.
The New Orleans edition calls the city “America's cultural Eden.”
