Leo Set to Play Gay in Black’s “Hoover”

According to a post on MTV, Leonardo DiCaprio is set to play J Edgar Hoover in an upcoming biopic that was written by the Oscar Award winning Dustin Lance Black (‘Milk’) and is to be directed by Clint Eastwood. The movie is said to depict Hoover’s life as a closeted gay man. It’s also rumored that Joaquin Phoenix is being pursued to play Hoover’s alleged lover, Clyde Tolson.

The post on MTV says, “the film is untitled, though IMDb identifies it simply as “Hoover.” ”
