Gay Athletes Across The World Begin to Gather In Wellington

The Wellington Town Hall will be the hub for the Outgames.
Athletes from across the globe are beginning to gather in Wellington as the city prepares to host the AsiaPacific Outgames.

They include a large contingent of runners, swimmers and soccer and tennis players from Melbourne, who were farewelled at a gathering at a Richmond Hotel.
The Sydney Star Observer reports Prahran MP Clem Newton-Brown was on hand to wish athletes good luck for the games.
In all, people from 26 countries have registered to compete at the AsiaPacific Outgames, which open tomorrow.
The 26 countries that will be represented are: American Samoa, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Fiji, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Samoa, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Tonga, United Kingdom, USA and Vanuatu.
Registrations open at the Wellington Town Hall at midday.
