Before I go on to the story in New Zealand Daily News Let me just explain what my title implies. Imagine that a comparable 15% of americans are not straight. Get the calculator and do the math. 311 millions by 15%= 20.5 Million americans(as of 2010) are not straight.  This are the ones that know it and are willing to talk about it. Which must lead you to believe that we have more than 20-21 Millions americans like us. The smart politicians have figured that out. The ones that don't follow a selfish religion dogma or are discriminatory of anyone unlike them. Which means politicians looking for votes or politicians with a belief in justice and equality in human beings have been fighting for us, but this has only happened when a large percentage of us started to come out.  After all if you are invisible, no matter the numbers, no one know you are here. adamfoxie*

Sexuality is one of the many areas probed in an online survey Nielsen compiled for the magazine. It polled 1,000 New Zealanders from throughout the country in February, giving the 15 percent figure a margin of error of 3.1 per cent.
Among the survey's many findings are that nearly one in every 14 New Zealanders in a steady relationship is also having sex with someone else on the side and over a quarter of New Zealanders have had sex at their place of work.
Also included in the monthly periodical are three gay 'tales of the city', which are described as confessional stories of life in the sex lane.
"We discovered with the survey that people really do want to talk about sex," says Metro editor Simon Wilson. "Nielsen told us respondents were happy to answer the questions, even though we asked about some pretty explicit stuff, and many of them made a point of thanking the company for the chance to discuss intimate details of their lives.”
