For Monkeypox in New York City

This Monday, July 18, 2022, from 4 pm to 5 pm,

the New York City Council will be hosting a virtual town hall meeting

in response to the recent increase in cases of monkeypox in New York City.

Monkeypox is a contagious disease caused by the monkeypox virus.

There is currently a monkeypox outbreak in the U.S. and other countries

where the virus is usually not seen. Symptoms include rashes,

bumps, or blisters, as well as flu-like symptoms.

Click here for more information about Orthopoxvirus, otherwise known as monkeypox.

We will be joined by the Commissioner of the Department of Health

to discuss infection rates and improve access to vaccines.

We hope you can join in this important discussion.

To register, please RSVP at
