A second-year student, who was not identified, posed for playful pictures with his tuxedo-clad date for a formal banquet as part of the Yearling Winter Weekend. Another cadet was also photographed arm and arm with his boyfriend for the dance held for third year students.
The same-sex dates come 16 months after the Pentagon repealed its ban on openly gay service.
The photos of the dates were circulated by Knights Out, a West Point alumni group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered veterans.
The current student, who is a Yearling - a term for sophomore, is affiliated with Spectrum, a Gay-Straight Alliance of the United States Military Academy.
'This, ladies and gentleman, is progress at an Academy in which we can be proud. A member of the Academy's Spectrum group and his boyfriend at Yearling Winter Weekend last weekend,' a representative from the group wrote about the first photo, released early on Tuesday.
The Facebook posting garnered nearly 2,000 Likes and scores of comments in support of the military's acceptance of homosexual members.
