OBama Is The Man!! Now He Needs the Gays

This is the day The U.S. President Put his shoe where his mouth was.……but this will cost him.  It is up to the gay community and friends to support him and his party. No other President or political figure have done more for the gay community than President Obama.  Bringing down DADT, trying to back federal employee’s  with same sex spouses to having the Justice Dept Testify against DOMA.

 I am so proud to see this moment. It will only be a moment if we don’t support The President. He “Needs" a Congress that backs him on that, otherwise it will not get to happen.  In order for Gay Marriage to be legal it needs the federal law that bans it to come down”DOMA". We got that law under Bush the “Uniter. " However{DADT}  under a gay friendly President; Bill Clinton under an anti gay Republican congress.  The Republican Congress now is more anti gay than the one Clinton had..  Imagine that…..but this President went about in a different way. He learned a lot the first year as President.

 He learned that in Washington if you just talk, that’s what you are.. talk. You need action behind your words.   People need to fear you there and the only way for that to happen is to be afraid of how you going to hurt them.  But you can’t hurt anybody unless you have the backing of the electorate. He can say like Lyndon B.  Johnson would say:  "If you don’t vote my way I will personally go to your district and campaign against you".  That is how he became part of the Presidential ticket with a president that didn’t like him, John F. Kennedy.

I hope that wether we are conservatives, moderates or liberals, we stand behind this president.  Let’s make it about us as gay people.  If we can make the laws enacted against us come down,  then we burn the closet.  There would be no need to be in or out because one’s sexuality will be one’s to have not for others come in and interfere like if it was theirs. Let's leave sex for the people to have in privacy and lets leave at home, don’t bring it to work, church or Washington.

Like Martin Luther King said, Let the ‘character of the man “Defines" not the color of his skin’ I say that and respectfully ad,  let the character of the person define their humanity and not their skin color nor sex or sexuality, religion or not, politics or not.
