Will Gay Marriage Be a Non-Issue at Elections?
As we await the anticipated outcome of the Prop 8 trial, we also know that it will be appealed and possible head to the U.S. Supreme Court for an ultimate ruling.  But in the meantime, many conservatives are grasping at straws with the upcoming mid-term election hoping that the threat of gay marriage will somehow bring voters to the polls and increase support for the anti-gay Republican and tea-party mob.
However, not all conservatives think this issue will be a huge contributing factor in swaying voters…Why?  Because of the economy.
According to a post on The Hill:
But outside of the state, said Republican political consultant Philip Stutts, good luck getting candidates for federal office to focus on the issue at all.
“Do I see this being used as an issue anywhere else? Even in the most conservative areas of the country? I really don’t,” Stutts said.
And the reason why: the economy.
