Osvaldo Quiroz-Lopez, 33, the crazed Cookie Monster, appeared in Manhattan
 Criminal Court on Monday to be arraigned on charges of assault and endangering 
the welfare of a child.

The crazed costumed Cookie Monster who menaced a family of tourists in Times Square called the mother "a b---h" and her son "a bastard," a police source said.

When the mother of two refused, the blue beast saw red and started hurling epithets. 
He then pushed the boy, who lost his balance and became frightened, police said.
Parmita's husband then got the attention of cops, who arrested Quiroz-Lopez and
 charged him with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

 arraigned Monday afternoon.
Cookie Monster is only the latest renegade costumed character to unnerve tourists.
In December, a performer dressed as Super Mario and carrying a stash of weed 
allegedly groped a woman in Times Square.
And last summer an anti-Semitic Elmo was busted in Central Park spouting prejudice 
rants through a megaphone.
