Details on Death of Gay Soldier Ar Prince’s Base

The 'horrified' victim ran from his bed at Wattisham air station in Suffolk screaming for help, it was alleged.
Officers from the Royal Military Police's Special Investigation Branch have launched an investigation into the alleged assault.
Wattisham air station is home to 3 and 4 Regiment Army Air Corps.

Prince Harry, an Apache helicopter pilot, serves with 662 Squadron, 3 Regiment. He is not thought to have been on the base when the incident took place.
His unit is undergoing intensive training at Wattisham in preparation for action in Afghanistan.
The alleged incident was not near Harry's officer's quarters, which are on another section of the military base.

A source said: 'These lads went out on the p*** then when they got back they went into one of the rooms.
'They found this lad asleep in his bed and pinned him down. There were claims that it was a sexual assault.
'The victim was horrified. He escaped and ran naked to the guard room screaming for help.
'I think the accused are denying what happened. But it's not what you want going on at a base, where there is a Royal stationed there or not.
'This is massively out of the ordinary and very worrying.' The incident comes less than two months after Prince Harry was declared the best co-pilot gunner of his class of more than 20.
Captain Wales, as he is known in the Army, was presented with a trophy - a polished 30mm round from an Apache cannon mounted on a stand - during a celebratory dinner with his fellow pilots at the base.

The Daily Mail is reporting that on Saturday night, three drunken soldiers pinned a fellow trooper down as he was sleeping and “subjected the young man to a terrifying sexual assault” that had him running naked and “screaming for help.”
The Mail is one of England’s most notorious shit-stirring tabloids, though, and called the incident a “drunken ‘gay sex attack’” in its headline. So without any details it’s hard to say if these drunk Brits just teabagged their mate, seriously violated him, or what.
Also unclear is why this soldier was chosen for the assault. (Like the U.S., Britain allows gays and lesbians to serve openly in the Armed Forces.)
Though the Ministry of Defense won’t comment on an ongoing investigation, a spokesperson said “action will be taken against all those who fall short of the Army’s high standards.”
We’ll update this story with any more info.
