Charlie Sheen was booed off stage by disappointed fans in Detroit last night. His so-called “Violent Torpedo of Truth” tour appears to be foundering even as it begins. Attendees found Sheen’s mix of video clips and commentary “boring” and not worth the $70 non-refundable ticket price.People Magazine characterizes it this way:
After Charlie Sheen's one man show was met with boosduring its first performance Saturday night, perhaps the actor is learning to embrace a valuable life lesson: You can't win them all.
Or, in his case, you can't even win over most.
Fans and media outlets – many of whom weren't among the 4,700 in attendance – took to the Web with an overwhelming disapproval of Sheen's gig, which made its first stop at Detroit's Fox Theatre. Audience members weren't asking Sheen questions, as the show's description encouraged – they were asking for refunds.
