Mel Gibson is accused of owning a gun by ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, reports TMZ.com.Mel Gibson is accused of using a handgun to threaten his ex-girlfriend during one of their heated clashes, TMZ reported Friday.
The explosive allegation is part of the Los Angeles Sheriff's probe into whether the hot-headed actor abused his Russian baby mama, Oksana Grigorieva, and endangered their infant daughter.
Grigorieva told investigators the "Lethal Weapon" star made the threat at his Malibu, Calif., home. The probe is also focusing on whether Gibson punched her in the face during a dust-up, chipping one of her teeth and knocking out another.
Gibson's former squeeze also claims that during a Jan. 6 scrape, he punched her while she was holding their baby, according to TMZ.
The L.A. Sheriff's Department announced on Thursday that it had opened an investigation into domestic abuse accusations.
The "Braveheart" actor and his ex have been embroiled in a bitter custody dispute that led to leaked recordings of Gibson spewing racial slurs.
