Poor 'Kit Connor' Says He was Forced to Come Out But Now He feels More Secure

Kit Connor says he was forced to come out but listening to this dude  I think he is still got something in the closet. Not sure what that might be.

In a new interview with British Vogue, the star opened up about his sexuality and being forced to come out.

Despite being driven off Twitter by a rabid fanbase, Emmy winner Kit Connor is feeling much more comfortable in his skin.

In a new interview with British Vogue, the Heartstopper star, who came out as bisexual in November, says that he felt more comfortable in his bisexuality than he did a year ago.

“It’s the experience of maybe you’re too straight to be gay and you’re too gay to be straight,” he said. “So it’s like, ‘Where do I sit?’ But I feel much more secure in myself now.”

Connor’s coming out was mired in an unfortunate controversy. A few months prior to his coming out, fans accused the actor of “queerbaiting,” because he held hands with a woman in a video. After the criticism, Connor deleted his Twitter account, but not before tweeting, “Back for a minute. I’m bi. congrats for forcing an 18-year-old to out himself. i think some of you missed the point of the show. Bye.”

Speaking about the experience to British Vogue, Connor said that he “felt like it wasn’t something I was ready to talk about.” He added, “I wasn’t angry. I was just slightly disappointed by this reaction.” (He wasn’t the only one who was upset: his Oscar-winning co-star Olivia Colman spoke out against the online fandom bullying Connor.)

Connor also opened up about his own internal coming out process beyond public circumstances. “It was just a very natural process for me; I didn’t really have an ‘oh, shit’ moment,” he said. “It just became more and more evident.”

The accusations of queerbaiting against Connor made him the latest in a line of celebrities who have been accused of pretending to be LGBTQ+ for dollars, even though that is definitely not what the term means. Celebrities accused of such have had a wide range of reactions. While Connor responded by coming out, Grammy-winning superstar Cardi B responded to the accusations by reminding people that she had been “eating bitches out” for years (Twitter content)This content can also be viewed from the site it originates from.
Since his coming out, Connor not only won an Emmy for his work in Heartstopper’s first season but he’s also been outspoken about the lack of bisexual representation on TV. Just a month after coming out, Connor called the amount of representation for bisexual men “shockingly low” at a Critics’ Choice Awards panel.

Those hungry for more Heartstopper will be satiated come August 3 when the highly-anticipated second season debuts on Netflix.
