Fox News chief Roger Ailes (a prick) calls former House Speaker Newt Gingrich "a prick" and a "sore loser" in a forthcoming biography by Zev Chafets, an exclusive excerpt of which has just been published in Vanity Fair.

Ailes's remark about Gingrich came during the 2012 campaign season, when Gingrich, a former Fox News contributor, complained that the network was giving too much support to Mitt Romney. According to Chafets's report, Ailes found the complaint self-serving and disloyal, and told his spokesman Brian Lewis to “brush [Gingrich] back."

“He’s a sore loser and if he had won he would have been a sore winner," Ailes reportedly said.

Chafets also reports Ailes saying that he likes Marco Rubio -- though not as a vice president -- and that he thinks Vice President Joe Biden is "dumb."

“I have a soft spot for Joe Biden,” he told Chafets. “I like him. But he’s dumb as an ashtray.”
