She will be sitting in a section reserved for Roberts’
guests at Tuesday’s Supreme Court hearing on California’s gay marriage ban known as Proposition 8.
Podrasky, 48, wants to marry her partner of four years, Grace Fasano. Fasano will also attend the arguments.
The San Francisco resident said she has no personal knowledge of Roberts’ position on the issue,
but is optimistic he will come down on the side of gay marriage advocates.

It would not be the first time Roberts, who was appointed by former President Bush, has bucked conservative
sentiment in a major ruling.
