Another Death in the Gay Porno Industry [] Josh Weston Dead at 39

Below you have a kind of an Eulogy by someone who seems to have known him (Mike).   Josh died of complication of HIV.  It is a shame with all the information available, this things should not hapen!…That’s my first thought, but the reality is that we don’t how long he’s been HIV+ and wether he was in treatment or not. Guys that have to maintain a certain look for the work they do are not going to take anything that would make them look sick. 

They would rather go to the funeral home looking beautiful. I myself can understand that train of thought. These guys sell their looks the looks of their bodies by having live sex on stage.  Nothing would kick a guy out of his job faster for others  to find out he is taking HIV Meds, or was seen at a clinic.

This industry has promised many times, that they would use condoms and abide by health guidelines.  I am one of those who think that the industry has to make changes and take responsibility for the human beings that work for them to make them money!

If this cannot be accomplish in a safe way and I don’t know why it couldn't then the industry should be shut down. Let guys look at pose pictures instead live action. 

Something is telling me behind my right ear what it told me when gays starting dying. People were saying “good” who needs them. God is cleaning up house. 

That same voice is telling me that people in the health Dept. really don’t care being that is just the low of the lowest. Guys that have sex for a living. I hope Im wrong, wether we like it or not they are part of our community just like the straight have their own porno industry. 

This has to be clean up!!

R.I.P. JOSH WESTON (1973-2012)

Former Falcon Exclusive Josh Weston has died, The Sword reports.

The strawberry blond star of Heaven to Hell, Quarterback Sack and Fleet Week passed away earlier this week due to a heart attack related to HIV. Weston caused a stir in early 2008 when he began shooting bareback videos. Later, he was brought back to Falcon Studios for the equally controversial (at the time) Fleet Week.

In an 2006 interview with Lavender Lounge, Weston dismissed notions we should pity the porn star.

As for difficulty in being in porn, I’m always surprised that many people think that if you do porn 

its because you had no other options in life, last refuge of the scoundrel. I could have been anything in the world I wanted to be, and Im doing exactly what I want. People are also often taken back by porn stars that think, are intelligent, I guess they don’t expect it. Just because I get double fucked on camera doesnt mean I cant conjugate a verb.

Weston may have had demons, but for him, porn wasn’t one of them. Still, Weston’s death concludes a particularly sad year for the industry, after the loses of Roman Ragazzi, Erik Rhodes, Tanner Hayes and Adam Faust.
