Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian Unplug From Twitter, Facebook For World AIDS Day

Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian and Alicia Keys are among the celebrities that
will give social networks the cold shoulder starting on World AIDS Day.
To remember the million of lives lost to the virus that causes AIDS,
celebrities will take a moment of silence and “end their digital lives” by unplugging from social networks, including Twitter and Facebook,
 during the December 1 event.
The celebrities will not awaken their digital selves until $1 million has
been raised for Keep a Child Alive (KCA), the Brooklyn-based non-
profit group co-founded by Keys that provides vital antiretroviral
(ARV) therapy for children and their families with HIV/AIDS in Africa
and the rest of the developing world.
Singer-actor Justin Timberlake gave up his digital life with a promotional
video for the event.
“Hey, I'm Justin Timberlake. This is my last tweet and testament.
That's right @jtimberlake is officially dead. I sacrificed my digital life in
order to give real life to millions of people who are affected by HIV
and AIDS in Africa and India,” he said.
