The Panama Canal, Can The US Take it Back?

Trump said He wanted the Panama Canal back on US hands. When asked if that would include military action his answer was in the positive. The problem is that United States gave back the Canal to Panama. There is a treaty. However the treaty does say the US should be treated in a "Reasonable, fair way and within International law".

One way to control the Canal would be for the US to do what China is done. Increased in helping maintain the canal by controlling the companies that do. In other words investing in the canal. It will cost more money than the canal is worth. As a matter of fact the canal traffic has diminished by 29% in the years 2023-24. Trump says the Chinese could close it down in case of war. What war is he referring to? Most experts don't see US taking over the canal unless the administration were to buy off the hands of those in charge. Doing it by force it will put the US against the United Nations who administers treaties and boundaries of nations. It didn't help Ukraine that Russia said the hell with the UN since they are meanders of the security council they can control what the UN does. The same with US also a permanent member of the security council except there is a difference, the US is not Russia. And voters have a say every two years on members of the House in Congress and every 4 years on the President Unlike Russia.
The Gulf of America. If this was such a great name is would have been name such back when. The Gulf of Mexico is open to navigation to all and it does not belongs to Mexico or any nation no more than the Pacific belongs to Japan or China. So if Trump want to change the name he can start calling it whatever he wants but that does not mean everybody else is going to go along. How you can take on international body of water and say it belong to America or anybody else is crazy. So his administration will call it what ever and everyday else will call it anything else. It is a screwy idea only god knows who he has been talking to but as a guess I will name a guy who behaves like a crazy dude in his circle of advisors.Elon?

Sometimes Trump throws crazy ideas out to have people talking about it and ignore the more important issues like turning back the clock on diversity and civil rights for the LGBTQ community. Now that has implications. I hope anyone Gay or LTBQ who voted for Trump to bother and to look into that. He wants to take soldiers who are Trans out of the Military, now that is a huge important issue. Naming two sexes is anti Science. All you have to do is find the amount of people that we know are born with both sex organs. What are they? No sex organs? What are they? Sex its fluid in many ways and is not confine to people that want to exclude others because they feel uncomfortable with them.
