As I see the Procession of Jimmy Carter's Funeral, I was so Proud that they gave him a full honor guard and transferring the casket from the the Cadillac Hearse to a hose drawn hearse just like in John F. Kennedy's Funeral.
There is so much to say and so much to think about this man who was the second man I ever voted for President. I was 19 and waiting to be called to the NYPD Academy to become a "Patrolmen". Im glad I change my mind. I saw how they treated hispanics like me and even though I never fit the color of what people think a hispanic should look like. those are people that forgot that Spain is in Europe and Puerto Rico was Spain's Island. The US took it in Lew of payment for Spain loosing and they got Cuba, PR, Small Island in the Pacific and the Philippines. They could not get the Dominican Republic or Haiti because they belonged to France.
For some reason particularly since they gave Cuba autonomy and independence but Cuba went too much the way US wanted and Organized Crime and Millionaires took it over making ripe for a Castro Revolution., So Puerto Rico would not have independence but the US would keep it as a territory. We are talking about 3+ millions of Puerto Ricans. So even today Puerto Rico is still a territory and get very little compared to any state its size from the Federal Government. The Feds take but only give stuff like Food stamps and Medicare but they take the working men out to bring to the mainland and forces family to leave Puerto Rico which is been what the GOP government wants and Dems as usual only offer words. They want Puerto Rico for the same reason the Millionaires own Manhattan. They take everything and then give them something visible and respectful taking to show they support the Island they say better not think of getting independence because they will starve. I don't think so.
Let's ask Trump why he would only rent to only to whites in Manhattan. Same deal in different places.
Do we need Greenland or the Panama Canal? No. But Trump does and his billionaire pals. It's to be split among them for hotel, gulf courses and making more money because they don't have enough. What about the people there? When did Trump and the billionaires that supporting him cared about the masses? Never.
Trump as even said he does not care about his supporters(MAGA) but these people have a mental breakdown that they will only listen to what they want to listen and comprehend none. That is why short slogans like MAGa, make America great Again? Did it. not get great under trump's last four years, Why not? Some of these people have even forgotten trump was already here and everyone hated it.
