What is going on in England? Any deep right people open the doors for Putin, Trump, and all the mass killers in history. Why because they have the right to protest do they mistakenly think they have the right to abuse others, including law enforcement, and destroy symbols of the government that belong to all.  Why? We get it here (USA) too and is ugly like January 6, at the capital. There are some of us that abuse the freedoms we have been given. Those who like to go out and yell down with everything spent a day in Russia or at the front in Ukraine. if we could just learn not to be abusive to others whether they disagree with us or not. I wish these people would grow up and learn there is a right way and a wrong way to do everything on this earth. They behave like they are going to be here forever and they don't realize the clock is ticking for all and is time they stop before their body clocks stop and in the open and close of their eyes they are gone from the planet they so much abused. Adam Gonzalez

Hundreds of anti-immigration protesters have attacked a hotel in South Yorkshire that has been used to house migrants.

Videos posted on social media show the police retreating under a hail of objects thrown by protesters outside the Holiday Inn Express in Manvers, Rotherham.

Other footage shows rioters breaking windows before storming the building, as well as a fire breaking out in one of the entrances.

The crowd has been heard cheering and chanting: “Get them out” and “Yorkshire”.

Many of the protesters are waving Union Jacks and St George’s flags, and some of them are wearing masks.

Police vehicles have blocked a road, and a line of officers was earlier pictured outside the entrance.

Counter-protesters from Stand Up to Racism were earlier present at the scene, but have now reportedly left the area.

The hotel was the target of an anti-immigration protest in February 2023, when two people were arrested.
