New City, NY - In a heartbreaking incident that has left a community in shock, a Bronxville Police Department sergeant, Watson Morgan, allegedly committed murder-suicide, taking the lives of his wife, Ornela Morgan, 43, and their two sons aged 10 and 12. The grim discovery was made by authorities just after midnight on Friday in their New City home, a suburb of New York City.

Police officials reported that Watson Morgan failed to show up for his evening shift, prompting concern among colleagues. Upon investigating, the Clarkstown Police Department found the lifeless bodies of the entire family. All four victims had suffered gunshot wounds, and a handgun was recovered at the scene.
"At this phase in the investigation, it is believed that Watson killed his wife and two children before killing himself with a self-inflicted gunshot wound," stated the Clarkstown Police Department.
Watson Morgan, 49, had an extensive law enforcement career, beginning with the New York Police Department in 2000. Seven years later, he joined the Bronxville Police Department, where he steadily climbed the ranks, achieving the rank of sergeant in 2016, according to his department biography.
Bronxville Police Chief Christopher Satriale expressed the department's grief, stating, "Our hearts go out to Sergeant Morgan’s extended family. Our thoughts and prayers are also with his Bronxville Police Department family." The tragic event has left the close-knit community grappling with the profound loss of innocent lives.
