Thousands Appear Naked at New FB Group to Support Harry

This member of the Facebook page to support Prince Harry said he was unable to salute because he was in a tactical environment.
A new Facebook group is dedicated to supporting Prince Harry in the wake of his Las Vegas nude-photo scandal. Pictures of the prince cavorting naked with a female companion in a hotel suite somehow found their way to the press – and the Internet – during the weekend of Aug. 18.
To show their empathy for the prince, thousands of his fans have joined the Facebook group Support Prince Harry with a Naked Salute. “Cover your crown jewels (and) support the nation’s favorite Royal,” the group declares – and thousands have done just that.
The military theme is a nod to Prince Harry’s military service. A second lieutenant, Harry has served on the frontlines in Afghanistan. Originally the group was open only to members of the military, but now, with more than 32,000 members, the group is open to anyone.
Members are required to tag their photos, so Facebook is advising joiners to update their privacy settings before posting their stuff.
The Huffington Post has reported that the prince will be reprimanded to the photos, which resulted from an impromptu game of strip pool. The rest of the royal family has declined to comment on the incident, but embattled right-wing publisher Rupert Murdoch reportedly told his staff to “Leave Harry alone!”
