South Korea Introduces Chemical Castration for Pedophiles } Should We Follow?

In South Korea, convicted paedophiles can now face a controversial punishment known as "chemical castration".
A law enacted in July gives judges the power to order sex offenders to undergo drug treatment designed to diminish sexual urges.
The government says the new legislation's aim is to protect children against the increasing number of reported sex crimes.
But for the critics, the practice violates basic human rights.

This is something that the member of our Indo-china alliance believes strongly. They have been hesitating on passing this law, but now is full force ahead.  The question is, just like South Korea has a problem with particularly men that molest boys and girls.  Is this the right solution for us too since we have a similar problem.  This not done in surgery with a scalpel but with an injection. It many cases it can last up to 15 years, so is not a permanent solution on the younger offenders. But may be it will buy time to come to another solution. What do you think??
