Reality Star Joey Kovar 29, is Dead

Troubled reality star Joey Kovar has died, aged just 29.

The young American, who appeared on Real World and Celebrity Rehab, is believed to have died from a drug related issue according to his family.

He was found dead at a friend's home near Chicago today, report TMZ.

A representative told the US website that Joey was discovered by a female friend early this morning.

She reportedly discovered blood coming out of his ears and nose, before promptly calling the emergency services.

Yet despite authorities rushing to the scene, he was pronounced dead.

The Illinois native, who found fame in 2008 on the MTV show, posted a series of motivational messages on his Twitter account just yesterday.

He wrote: 'What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us... Fall seven times, stand up eight.

'Life is not about how fast you run or how high you climb but how well you bounce... Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.' 

Earlier this month, he said: 'Take time to play! Ask for what you want. Laugh. Live loudly. Be avid. Learn a new thing. Be Yourself!'

Kovar publicly confronted his drug demons in 2009 on Celeb Rehab with Dr Drew, seeking help for cocaine and ecstasy abuse.

He featured on season three alongside Heidi Fleiss and Dennis Rodman.

Prior to venturing onto the small screen, the 5ft 9in star was a former bodybuilder and worked as a personal trainer. 

He was also in a band for five years during which he played the drums, guitar and also sang.
