Alexander Skarsdard on Our Side says “It Gets Better”

True Blood star Alexander Skarsdard is among the latest celebrities to participate in the It Gets Better video campaign aimed at LGBT youth.

I like that he places the responsibility on parents because as we all know, homophobic bullying starts in the home with kids taking their cues from their parents.

Alexander said: “I believe it gets better when parents start to lead buy example. We have to teach our children not only through our words but through our actions that every single human being has equal value.”

The actor does not yet have children but said when he does, “I’ll make sure that before they can walk, before they can crawl, that they know how important that is.”
