A co-creator of the hit US television series Glee has confirmed that one of its leading characters - Santana – is gay.
A co-creator of the hit US television series Glee has confirmed that one of its leading characters - Santana – is a gay.“Santana is a lesbian,” said co-creator Brad Falchuk, speaking at the TV convention PaleyFest. “She might not be ready to come out yet, but she is.”
According to reports, Naya Rivera, who plays Santana, said she’s “more than honoured” to be involved in the storyline.
“I hope I handled it responsibly... I hear every day on Twitter things that warm my heart.”
“I love that it looks like Santana is gay, it’s lovely,” added Naya’s co-star Jane Lynch — who’s a lesbian in real life.
“It’s nice to have a gay girl because we have such nice gay boys.”
