Gay boxing event launches to find sport's king of the ring
A gay boxing show called Pink Collar Boxing will launch in London this April, before going on tour around the world.
Organised by Dermot Mannion, best known for his Urban White Collar Boxing nights, the event taking place on 15 April at London’s Scala in Kings Cross will see a collection of men come together and fight to become king of the ring.
The first match will kick-off at 8.30pm and will be refereed by body building champion Lucas Alexander.
Pink Boxers will fight under strict safety conditions, wearing head-guards, gums-shields and extra safe 16oz sparring gloves.
The event will also be followed by an after party which will see DJ’s and Dancers take over the boxing ring.
Mannion told PinkPaper.com: “Pink Collar Boxing is a fantastic opportunity for gay guys to get really fit and learn the beautiful art of boxing at the same time in a relaxed and un-intimidating environment.
"By taking part in the actual boxing show the competitors can show just how macho they can be, supported by their friends and colleagues.”
