Woman Sports Presenter say Men’s Footballers and their Fans Homophobic and Racist

Sports presenter Clare Balding launched an attack on men’s football and its fans today – calling them “racist and homophobic”.

The Channel 4 horse racing host insisted women’s football was much more skillful, unlike the fellas who she said are aggressive and fake injuries.
Clare, 42, fumed: “If you go to a Woman’s Super League match this season, prepare yourself for disappointment.
"You won’t see any diving or swearing at the ref. There won’t be any racist chanting from the fans or homophobic abuse.
"There won’t be any hopeful hoofing of the ball halfway up the pitch and there won’t be any feigning of injury.
“However, if you enjoy football that relies on skill rather than power, you will love the WSL.”
Clare’s comments in her column for Stylist magazine came as Rio Ferdinand expressed shock at alleged racist chanting directed at him and brother Anton by England supporters during the Three Lions’ 8-0 victory over San Marino.
An offensive song was said to be aimed at the Man Utd defender after he pulled out of the national squad.
Rio tweeted today: “You expect and accept banter from fans on the terraces... but racism is not banter & from ya own fans.
"WOW. Always a small minority who ruin it for others.”
England fans have been reported to Fifa by anti-racism group FARE.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson added: “It is modern society, I’m afraid. We see a lot of that. I don’t think we can change that.”
Clare recently scooped best presenter at the Royal Television Society Awards for her work on the BBC’s Olympics.
