Below you will see a posting from the Staten Island Advance in NY.
This article is being posted because the Editor of This Blog is from Staten Isl... and because any
news of wrong doing of the party that that denies millions of people their civil rights,  because they are gay  and according to One of the front runners(Santorum) of the party of Rep Grimm are compared to dogs to say the least.

This political party and those in power need to be highlighted as people that are not as good in person as they are in preaching. Be it in drugs, religion, others different than they are.

Grimm as the article points out is in hot water over ‘illegal fundraising’.  Really for people that tend to be so intolerant of others,  from the current President(for trying to change how gays are treated in the military and government)  to any legislator that endorses decent people and their civil rights... should have a house cleaner.

Wish they would read their bibles more. In Particular where it says “Those that throw the first stone.” No they don’t see that. They see quotations that criticizes a population of people back a few thousand years ago. Way to go to the past! "forget what we do in the present because we preach the past(lagos)

Staten Island Advance

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A staffer in Rep. Michael Grimm's Brooklyn office has been suspended after he was arrested outside a Brooklyn school Friday during a physical altercation with his teenage son.

Liam McCabe, a community relations director for Grimm's office, was charged with assault, menacing, and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Brooklyn district attorney's office.

McCabe was picking up his 14-year-old son from school after the boy was caught by staff there with marijuana. Outside the school, police officers saw McCabe grab his son's arm and then "shook him about the body," the spokesman said. Those officers intervened and arrested McCabe, who is expected to be arraigned on the charges today.

"These are serious charges that have not been taken lightly.  Liam has been a hard-working member of my staff;  however,  I have suspended his employment in my office until the results of the official investigation become known," Grimm said in a statement to the Advance.

The arrest comes as Grimm faces allegations about illegal fund-raising and renewed questions about his business dealings and associates. Grimm has strongly denied those allegations.

Just yesterday, Staten Island Republicans rallied around Grimm at the opening of a new borough party headquarters -- and plenty of Brooklyn Republican party members turned out in support of him as well.

McCabe earned around $38,200 from Grimm's office in 2011, according to online House records, serving as director of community relations. He had also served as Brooklyn staff director and constituent services representative.

McCabe also worked on Grimm's 2010 campaign, doing street campaign work in Brooklyn.

Two Island sources said that prior to joining Grimm, McCabe had been let go from Brooklyn GOP City Councilman Eric Ulrich's office. He had also worked on Ulrich's campaign.

Ulrich's office did not return a phone call and email seeking comment yesterday.

McCabe is a member of the executive committee of the Brooklyn Conservative Party and is close to Brooklyn GOP state Sen. Martin Golden and Brooklyn Conservative chairman Jerry Kassar.

Kassar told the Advance that he'd spoken with McCabe after the arrest, and that the incident with his son was McCabe "reacting to a personal situation."

He called McCabe a "good person who loves his family."

The arrest also follows some staffing changes in the Brooklyn office where McCabe worked.

With district director William J. Smith leaving his job Feb. 3, he was replaced by Brooklyn office director Nick Curran, who now serves on Staten Island.

Fran Vella-Marrone took over as Brooklyn director. Ms. Vella-Marrone has served on many boards in Brooklyn and is vice-chair of the Brooklyn Conservative Party.

In 2000, Ms. Vella-Marrone admitted to the city Conflicts of Interest Board that she violated nepotism rules by using her influence to get her husband a job with the School Construction Authority (SCA). She paid a $5,000 fine.
