Here comes Trouble} Chris Brown is Being Accused of Robbery {In Fl.a Felony}
Brown is under investigation in Miami. Splash NewsSo much for second chances. Chris Brown is being accused of snatching a female fan's cell phone from her hands and driving off with it in Miami over the weekend. According to a police report, the R&B singer and rapper Tyga were exiting Cameo nightclub on Sunday when the fan, Christal Shanae Spann, followed them to their awaiting Bentley, eager for a photo. But according to the police report, when she snapped a shot of Brown sitting in his car, he angrily grabbed her $500 iPhone and yelled, "Bitch, you ain't going to put that on no website," before rolling up the window and speeding off.
Under Florida law, what the "Forever" singer did was break a law called Robbery by Sudden Snatching, a third-degree felony -- and it's punishable by up to five years in jail. Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle tellsPeople, "My prosecutors are currently speaking with witnesses and reviewing all of the materials supplied by Miami Beach Police. Only after these reviews have been completed would any type of action be considered or taken." RadarOnline.comalso reports that Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, has been in contact with the Florida State Attorney's office to closely monitor the situation. Brown, 22, is still on probation stemming from the 2009 attack on Rihanna, which he plead guilty to, and this new charge could convince the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office to revoke his probation, adds RadarOnline.
The singer has been in the press quite a bit in the last week since the Grammys, where he won an award and performed twice in front of an audience that included Rihanna. After criticism erupted, Brown responded with a profane rant on his Twitter page, which he later deleted. On Monday, he and Rihanna shocked everyone when they released a duet, a remix of her song "Cake," amid reports the two want to get back together.
No word yet on this latest incident from Brown's publicist … or his Twitter account.
