When Trump finishes his second term the same legal issues that were when he started would pop up at the end of second. He eventually would have to answer about all the illegalities and how his hurt the nation with lame excuses of saving money. You don't leave loyal workers out in the cold because someone thinks the government needs more money. Raise Taxes, Nope. He wants to lower them for rich people. That's why he needed someone as crazy as he is or just smarter or at least a faster thinker. It would be impossible for me to call this man smart when he builds or buys companies and then destroys them. From X to Tesla.

Where Things Stand

Third-term musings: President Trump said in an interview on Sunday that he was “not joking” about possibly seeking a third term, which would run afoul of the Constitution. The remarks, to the NBC News host Kristen Welker, were the most serious treatment he has given to the idea, though he later sought to deflect questions about the earlier statement. Read more ›

Stocks around the world fell on Monday as Wall Street braced for Trump’s next round of tariffs, set to be unveiled on Wednesday. The S&P 500 fell about 1 percent at the start of trading, extending its losses from last week and keeping the index on track for its worst month since 2022. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite opened roughly 1.6 percent lower. Whiplash over trade policy has fueled stock market volatility in the first quarter of this year and keeps rattling investors, who are concerned that tariffs could reignite inflation and slow down the U.S. economy.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement on Monday that 17 “violent criminals” from two gangs, Tren de Aragua and MS-13, had been deported to El Salvador in what he described as a “counter-terrorism operation.” The Trump administration last week asked the Supreme Court to allow it to use a rarely invoked wartime law to continue to deport Venezuelans with little to no due process, after a federal appeals court kept in place a temporary block on such deportations.

The United States will not take control of Greenland, the island’s new prime minister said on Sunday in response to President Trump’s latest assertion that he wants to annex the territory.

“President Trump says that the United States ‘will get Greenland,’” Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen, who was sworn in on Friday, said on social media. “Let me be clear: The United States will not get it. We do not belong to anyone else. We decide our own future.”
