Hope this note finds you well and getting ready for those who celebrate, Halloween or "El dia de los Muertos". This is the day Latin countries celebrate those who are not among us anymore.
In many countries particularly those in the Far East keep the dead ones home and even assign a room for them. They would serve them dinner when they have dinner, etc. Others like in the Philippines and Japan wait for the dead flesh to go back to where it came from but the bones they kept either at the cemetery or in a small room outside the home where they can be close to them and their spirits is believed will stay with them safe guarding their families.
In the USA, this day is celebrated as the day of the witches. People wear ghoulish masks and clothes. Kids enjoy it when they are allowed to visit their neighbors and get candy or money. However, it is not as popular in the USA as when I was a kid because of sick minds poisoning or injecting thin needles into the candy. Nowadays, an adult is set to accompany the kid or kids.
Halloween in the uSA is celebrated on the 31 of the month.
