Netanyahu vows Israel can fight alone — and 'with fingernails' — after U.S. weapons threat
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu defiantly vowed his country would “stand-alone” if its closest ally followed through on threats to suspend arms shipments over a full-scale invasion of Rafah, where more than 1 million people have taken refuge.
Speaking after President Joe Biden’s warning sparked fury and infighting among his senior figures, Netanyahu said Israel would “fight with our fingernails” to pursue its proclaimed goal of eliminating Hamas — with or without the backing of the U.S., which until recent months had been in little doubt.
The rupture between the two allies comes as talks stalled in a U.S. push for a cease-fire that would head off a ground assault on Rafah. Israeli and Hamas delegations left Cairo without a deal to end the fighting in the Gaza Strip and secure the release of hostages still held in the enclave.
Biden’s threat triggered new criticism from Democratic lawmakers and voters in battleground states critical to his re-election efforts. Trump also responded, attacking Biden and Jewish Democrats.

Biden usually does the right thing but usually not right away. We can see in Ukraine that this war would have been over or close to over on Ukraine's Forces of the Spring and Summer a year ago. All they needed was the weapons they just got.
In Israel, it was clear that Netanyahu have a few things in common but the most outstanding one is they can't be trusted. Their words change with the weather. No wonder Trump and Bibi like each other. Same MO (modus operandi). But Biden waited for Israel to do the right thing. There was no change until Biden did what he was supposed to have done. Hold arms shipments. Now we see Bibi trying to use his fingernails, sure, sure. This man talks in media sou bites and he thought that sounded good.
Let us hope the message is going clear to this man and his extremist coalition. Fight with your fingernails if you keep killing innocent people.
