In Philly A Corpse fights it’s way in Traffic

A malfunctioning door caused a dead body to fall from the back of a coroner's van and stop traffic Friday afternoon.
Officials with the Bucks County Coroner's Office in Pennsylvania said a mechanical malfunction caused the corpse that had been strapped onto a gurney to fall from a vehicle and land in an intersection of Lower Southampton, a suburb of Philadelphia, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.
The driver immediately saw the body fall out and returned it inside the van with assistance from a bystander "in a matter of moments," according to a release from the office.
"Care was taken to respect the deceased individual in this instance. The Bucks County Coroner's Office deeply regrets this incident and will take steps to ensure that it is not repeated in the future," the office said, according to the newspaper.
The office did not return an email seeking comment Sunday.
Bucks County resident Jerry Bradley told the newspaper he saw cars drive around the body immediately after the incident occurred.
"I thought someone was playing a prank. Someone is pranking people," Bradley told the newspaper. "It was the most bizarre thing I'd ever seen."
Bradley said he helped the female driver put the body back into the vehicle.
"I have to keep going back to look at it to believe it happened," he said. "I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. If that was my loved one I’d be angry."
