El Paso State Rep Son Outed by Candidate's Own Campaign Mger.

  The Denver Post is reporting today that State Rep. Marsha Looper’s son has been outed as gay.  Rep. Looper is against both Civil unions and gay marriage.  
The campaign manager ( Lana Fore-Warkocz ) praised her (Looper) for voting against "Civil Unions.” You would think that they would be on the retreat since is kind of strange that someone who is against gay rights has a son who has been hiding in the closet all this time and now he is not, but instead they tried to use it as an advantage.


This occurrence came to be when an email by her campaign manager (Ms Warkocz),  spilled the beans.   The email was meant for her to get mileage that even though she is got a gay son, she is so good that she opposes even civil unions for people like her son. The Denver Post writes quoting her manager when she mentions her sons’ sexuality; 
"It notes that Looper, during the House Appropriations Committee hearing on May 8, successfully amended Senate Bill 2 "to protect religious organizations and different kinds of counselors from harm for disagreeing with the civil unions provisions had it passed. (Praise God!)"

"God is truly to be praised for Marsha Looper because she also has a homosexual son," the e-mail reads.   ( *that’s the smoking gun or I should say boomerang)

Looper voted against the bill in committee, but did not mention her son. None of the reporters covering the hearing mentioned it either.”

During this years campaign Looper has been adamantly opposed to civil unions. She has also backed a bill to protect the church against gay marriage if it ever came to be.

"I am disappointed that my campaign manager forwarded an e-mail that would include any member of my family in policy discussions," Looper said in a statement she issued today after being contacted by The Denver Post.

What is really newsworthy on this incident is not that her son is gay as far as I am concern, but that they tried to use her sons sexuality to triangulate and use it as a boomerang that instead of having her son’s sexuality as neutral or even a minus, it presents it as a plus because she opposes civil rights for her own son.  The problems with boomerangs is that sometimes they come back and hit you in the face.  That is what happened here and that is why this report found it’s way to adamfoxie* pages.
