Sandusky’s Son Would Stay Quiet No Longer } It Gave the Jurors the Reason to Convict

After all is done and said, it was the adoptive son who never talked. He never talked because he was horrified of his adoptive father Jerry Sandusky.  He came to live with the Sandusky’s in 1995, which seemed to be a few trillion years since Sandusky put his arms around him, took him in and told him how welcome he would be. What buddies they would be together. Free game tickets, ipod, music,  food and most important of all,  a home. 


Sandusky got Matt a job at the University as an equipment manager, bought him a car.  Just like a little heaven.  His Biological mother Debra Long says that when Sandusky came into the house Matt would completely change. He would run and hide behind a door asking to Debra to please tell Jerry that he was not home. That was a sign that this relationship was not on track something was wrong. But Sandusky managed his house like a team. He planned the game and executed the orders. In turn the inhabitants of that house would get material things in return for complete obedience.  For Matt for example it was not obedience to be good in school and become something great. No it was blind obedience that when ever Sandusky wanted to sleep with him and have sex with him he would not only not resist but would have to keep it quiet from all.


We know that Sandusky was convicted of 45 charges. That’s a lot of charges, but those charges are all interconnected. If you find him guilty on one count of having sex with a minor you have to convict him of forced sex or rape. On the other hand if he is not convicted of one count there would be other counts that the jurors would have to find him not guilty. Some of the witnesses were not good character witness. That’s bad on this ' he said he said’ w hich is what this case was all about as far as evidence is concern. These were damaged kids trying to go on on their lives like if nothing happened.  Of coarse they are going to get into trouble. Particularly of they got too old for Sandusky or they said no to one of his advances. Then they were cut off.  One of them went on to commit a robbery.  He was out of money and there was nobody else anymore to give him the allowance he was used to from Sandusky. The point Im trying to make is that the case was not as strong as it should have been because of the character of the witnesses.  The defense team was hopping to put Jerry Sandusky on the witness stand. He will convince the jury that the only thing he was guilty of was being vulnerable to this kids which he was trying to do good by. His powers of persuasion had to be very strong in order to keep all these kids quiet for so long.


Mat had kept his mouth shut all along. It was not until the very end that he opened his mouth and it was reported in the media that Sandusky had done it to his son too. His son had nothing to gain to testify against Sandusky,  particulary if Sandusky got off, which was a possibility. He took the chance and spilled the beens.  The defense now lost the chance to put Sandusky on the stand because then the prosecution will bring Matt and Jerry Sandusky's ass will be toast.  After  it was over the jurors said because Matt the case got a shot of credibility with the jurors as as they explained it now. A credibility that it didn’t have before.
