Ryan Gosling’s Evolution in pictures
The Ides of March star Ryan Gosling doesn't have a big head about his good looks!

In 2007, Gosling, 30, packed on 60 pounds for a role in The Lovely Bones. He was replaced, however, shortly before filming began by Mark Wahlberg. Gosling told The Hollywood Reporter he and the film's director Peter Jackson had "wildly different" ideas as to what the character of Jack Salmon should look like.
"I was 150 pounds when he hired me, and I showed up on set 210 pounds," he revealed. "I really believed [the character] should be 210 pounds. I was melting Haagen Dazs and drinking it when I was thirsty," headmitted. "I really believed in it. I was excited about it."
It didn't take Gosling long to shed the weight and get back to he is svelte self

"I'm not that good looking. I think I'm a pretty weird-looking guy," he told the Chicago-Sun Timesearlier this month. "Every role I got up until The Notebook [in 2004] was the weirdo, freak, psychopath, nerd outsider character guy."
Gosling first stepped into the spotlight in 1993 as a cast member of The All New Mickey Mouse Club. "I went through puberty in a theme park," he recalled to Esquire magazine in August.
