Mom Causes Uproar Over Blogging About Her Sons Crush On "Glee's" Blaine

This is how you raise children so that, if they might be gay, they don't feel evil, ostracized or even abnormal. Bravo! Amazing blog entry after the jump. The set-up: A mother watches Glee with her six-year-old son and he has had an infatuation with Darren Criss' character Blaine. "My oldest son is six years old and in love for the first time," she writes. (Kid's got impeccable taste!). She admits to her and her husband being liberal parents and not having any problem with their son being gay. The next part proves that LGBT characters on television give youth a sense of identity, she writes about a car ride conversation with her son: “Mommy, Kurt and Blaine are boyfriends.” “Yes, they are,” she affirmed. “They don’t like kissing girls.  They just kiss boys.” “That’s true.” “Mommy, they are just like me.” “That’s great, baby.  You know I love you no matter what?” “I know…” I could hear him rolling his eyes at me. She adds, "When we got home I recapped this conversation to his Dad, and we stood simply looking into each other’s eyes for a moment.  Then we smiled." She ends with saying that maybe he's gay maybe he's not, but if he is, she is glad that he is hers and born into a loving supportive family. So are we. Now she's under attack in the blogosphere!
