FBI Claims J. Edgar Hoover Wasn't Gay} LoL.hehe
The FBI, maybe because they are the FBI, believe that rumors of J. Edgar Hoover being gay are just that, rumors. But we are pretty sure of two things: 1) Hoover, being the director and founder of the FBI, would not have been found out if he didn't want to be found out and 2) where there is smoke there is fire. Details after the jump.
Earlier this year, Assistant FBI Director Mike Kortan told Clint Eastwood and Leonardo DiCaprio, that, "vague rumors and fabrications have cropped up from time to time, but there is no evidence in the historical record on this issue [Hoover being gay]." Maybe evidence has not been found or investigations have not taken place for fear of what y'all might uncover perhaps?
William Baker former agent Vice President of the J. Edgar Hoover Foundation is concerned of the potrayal: "We're caught in a dilemma here. We don't want to support something not based in fact, but we're not against the new FBI and diverse workplace." But of course you aren't.
Also, Cartha "Deke" DeLoach, a former top aide to the FBI director said of Hoover's sexuality: "When the subject of homosexuality came up, I made it very clear that I never saw any evidence of it whatsoever. I traveled with him, I ate in his home and he in mine. I knew Clyde Tolson to be Mr. Hoover's companion and best friend. When you are somebody like Mr. Hoover, I guess you need somebody to talk to."
Got news for you, sweet cheeks. Married men hide their gay relationships from their friends and families everyday, everywhere. Furthermore, none of these statements prove that he wasn't gay, it proves that he was a pro at keeping things undercover...you know, that sort of quality you'd want in someone founding a nation's top investigating organization.
