Is Rick Perry gay? Rumors haunt potential presidential bid

 These rumors have persisted for years. The rumors indicate that the Former Secretary of StateConnor who is very close to the Governor was caught with his pants down with Perry when Perry's wife walked in.  This is juicy stuff because we are talking about someone who at first defended the Right For gays to be married in NYS and then when the heat came on, he did a 360 degree about turn and took the opposite opinion. Now He talks about amending the USA constitution to disallowed gay marriage in ANY State.  What adamfoxie* is done is publish below a report from Michael Stone from the Examiner. Also and most important Im posting the blog of Mike Stark who is the person that as far as I know put a light on the issue the with his blog. Just like in the past when reports surface of hippocratic's living double lives, which is fine with me as long as they don't want to destroy other people's lives for something they do behind close doors. Rumors questioning Perry's sexuality have been circulating around Texas for more than a decade. While running for Governor in 2004 Texas state Democrats forced Perry to address the rumors. In a press conference Perry denied the rumors that he was gay, yet for many his denial raised more questions than it answered.

 Noted investigative blogger Mike Stark reports:

I began looking into this, I repeatedly heard detailed rumors of a past gay relationship between the Governor and his former Secretary of State, Geoff Connor. A version of this story included Perry’s wife, Anita, catching Connor and Perry in the act and screaming at him the next day from her office phone. The most common retelling has it that the Governor was caught, struck a quick (and expensive) deal with his wife that allowed him to avoid an immediate trip to divorce court, and swore everyone involved to secrecy. 

I also learned of a new rumor making the rounds. Several sources told me they had heard that the Governor is in a current gay relationship with one of the two (male) chefs that Perry he keeps on staff at the tax-payer funded ($10,000 a month) temporary governor’s mansion.

 conservative Christian Republican may be gay and in the closet. 

Monday, Politico reported Governor Perry's staff is busy preparing for a reemergence of the gay rumors if and when Perry announces his candidacy for the Republican 2012 presidential nomination.

Perry's supposed "gay problem" may explain why the Texas politician has refused up until now to enter the national race and face the intense media scrutiny that will follow any announcement of his intention to seek the Republican nomination. In the past Perry has been described as "homophobic." His conservative Christian posturing has offended many liberals and others concerned with equal treatment under the law for the gay and lesbian community.Yet despite a rather virulent anti-gay public posturing, it would surprise few if Perry is gay and in the closet. Over and over again anti-gay Christian conservatives have been exposed as self-loathing, closet homosexuals. One need only recall recent news accounts of George Rekers, Ted Haggard and Senator Larry Craig from Idaho. The story is generating tremendous buzz on the Internet. The following is just a small sample of the hundreds of comments the story has generated over at Politico in the last 36 hours:     So...is Governor Perry a member of the "wide stance" wing of the GOP......where men are men......and other men are nervous?  That is just a tacky rumour, any proof? anyone?   I couldn't care less if he and his wife "split" or if he's gay. What concerns me is that he is BILDERBERG, NWO, and against all that is good for a free America. He must be hangin out with Senator Craig from Idaho.  I DIDN'T KNOW PERRY IS GAY... NO WONDER HE HAS ALL THAT RELIGIOSITY FOR HIS REDEMPTION. WHEN ONE NEEDS THAT MUCH JESUS... HE'S HIDING SOMETHING. If Rick Perry can't take the Heat then he should stay out of the kitchen. All Presidential contenders get vetted and not so nice things are said about them, but if he thinks he can fool the American people he should think twice about getting in... the TRUTH always comes out. Governor Perry is okay in my book. Any one that dumps the Democrat party to become a Republican (as Perry did) is fine by me. Perry is doing a Texas two step. Republicans have always had dark secrets that's exposed every now and then. Hypocricy occasionally reveal itself as well with these people. Right. Ask any high-end hairdresser in Austin if the rumors are "false and misleading."
