“Mobile Protest Units” are coming to... Tony Perkins House?

  by Paula Brooks
Tony Perkins, the president of the anti-gay hate group the Family Research Council (FRC), has been peddling lies about gays and lesbians for years.
And Tony really hates it when we win…. so Perkins has been kind of besides himself since King & Spalding, the law firm hired by House Republican leaders to defend the discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), decided to drop the case.
So he has ratcheted up his rhetoric this week and he likened LGBT’s to terrorist, called us cowards and said, “That’s why the groups like GetEQUALand others are forming what is basically a mobile protest unit. Yesterday, its activists rallied outside the offices of King & Spalding–only to learn that its attorneys had bailed on the case. So what did they do? Hopped in the car, drove across town to Paul Clement’s new firm, and started demonstrating there.”
Tony is not often right and he really miss that cowardly terrorist call by several hundred miles…since the only acts of real terrorism we have reported on this week, was a terrorist act committed against a gay man by cowardly terroristswho likely think a lot like Tony….. and who did not show up at a law firm, in broad day light, to peacefully protest , but came instead in the middle of the night to Brent Whitehouse place in Morgan County, Ohio to set fire to his barn, and burn alive 8 of his horses.
However he did get one thing right this week…  and according to GetEQUAL! Director Robin McGehee, we are, indeed, creating the “mobile protest units” that he references.
But rest assured Mr. Perkins, while one of these “mobile protest units” may indeed show up at your house one day, they won’t do it in the middle of the night with the intention to burn it down.
