Their Indian adventure was a dream. Japan? Not so much.
Katy Perry tweeted this weekendthat her husband Russell Brand, who had flown in to see her perform, was deported from the country because of old legal problems there.
"So ... my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so. sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place #tokyodreamscrushed," wrote Perry, 26.
She blamed the deportation on "priors from over 10 years ago."
Meanwhile, Brand, 35, posted a photo of himself in a stark white room and the message: "Planning escape from Japanese custody. It's bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick."
Perry performed Sunday in Nagoya, and has concerts lined up in Tokyo on Monday and Tuesday and Osaka on Thursday before returning to the U.S. for more tour dates in June.
