SNL’s Seth Cracks Jokes About Jamie Kuntz's 65-year-old "boyfriend"

Meyers couldn't resist poking fun at Kuntz's taste for much older men.

Last week, we shared the story of Jamie Kuntz, an 18-year-old who was kicked off the North Dakota College of Science football team over Labor Day weekend after he was seen kissing his 65-year-old boyfriend during a game.

The 48-year age gap between Kuntz and his lover (the two reportedly met online) didn't escape the notice of Seth Meyers, host of Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update, who cracked funny during SNL's season premier about a teenager professing romantic love for somebody old enough to be his grandfather.

Here's what Meyers said, followed by the footage (the Kuntz joke starts at about 1:12 in):

An 18 year old gay football player at the North Dakota College of Science is saying he was kicked off the team after he was seen kissing his 65-year-old boyfriend. Replied the 65-year-old man, 'Whoa, whoa whoa, a boyfriend? (laughter)... We're having fun here, it's just.... I'm not into labels.'

It does seem strange to hear an 18-year-old call a 65-year-old their boyfriend, doesn't it? Old-man-friend seems more appropriate.
