These videos stem from conspiracy theories that Beyoncé had knowledge of, or was involved with, Combs’ alleged crimes. Another conspiracy holds that celebrities have publicly “thanked” Beyoncé to protect them from her wrath —though there is no evidence that supports any of these theories. JoJo Siwa referenced the viral conspiracy on stage at the Industry Dance Awards this week, stating: “I also have to say thank you to Beyoncé, just so that we can keep the dancing community safe.” The comments on Beyoncé’s latest Instagram posts have been flooded with conspiracy theories and references to Combs, some of which have been liked tens of thousands of times. Piers Morgan issued an apology to Beyoncé and Jay-Z earlier this week after he interviewed Jaguar Wright, a singer who many years ago collaborated with big stars including Jay-Z but who is now best known for peddling bizarre claims about celebrities, who made wild allegations about Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Alex Spiro, an attorney representing Beyoncé and Jay-Z, told TMZ the allegations are “nonsense” and said he offered Morgan an ultimatum to remove the accusations from his interview or face a lawsuit. CONSPIRACIES THAT COMBS WAS INVOLVED IN THE MURDERS OF TUPAC AND THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G.
Combs has long been the subject of allegations that he was involved with the killings of rappers Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G., though no connection has ever been proven, and Combs has never been charged in connection with their killings. The allegations have resurfaced amid his arrest and have been promoted by rappers 50 Cent and Eminem. Shakur was fatally shot in a 1996 drive-by shooting, and 27 years later, South Side Compton Crips gang member Duane "Keefe D" Davis was arrested and charged for allegedly providing the gun and green-lighting Shakur’s killing. Davis reportedly told authorities Combs had promised him $1 million to kill Shakur, a key West Coast rapper in the East-West Coast rap rivalry. Davis, however, has since disavowed some of his prior interview comments and memoir as “entertainment.” 50 Cent has repeatedly insinuated Combs ordered Shakur’s killing, though Combs denied these allegations as “nonsense.” The Notorious B.I.G., whose real name is Christopher Wallace, was killed in a 1997 drive-by shooting in which Combs was reportedly with the rapper but departed a party in a different vehicle. 50 Cent alleged in a 2006 diss track titled “The Bomb” that Combs knows who killed Wallace, and he has since accused Combs of continuing to profit off of Wallace’s name through posthumous music releases. Rapper 50 Cent and Combs have been locked in a decades-long feud that has intensified in recent months as 50 Cent has relentlessly trolled Combs online over his lawsuits and arrest. Fans believe their beef can be traced back to about 2005, when 50 Cent and Combs had a dispute over signing the rapper Mase, who signed with Combs’ Bad Boy Records at the time. 50 Cent tried signing Mase to his G-Unit label, but the deal fell through. In 2015, 50 Cent repeatedly tweeted the hashtag #nopuffyjuice to mock Combs’ brand. 50 Cent has also made numerous comments about Combs’ sexuality and his parties, stating while on stage last year (before Combs’ sexual assualt lawsuits) that Combs would “hug you from the front and the back at the same time.” He also called Combs “fruity” in a 2018 interview, citing an instance where Combs offered to take him shopping, which Combs later said was because he thought 50 Cent “needed some clothes.” After Ventura and Combs settled their lawsuit last year, 50 Cent suggested Combs would face more sexual assault allegations: “Here they come in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 every woman he put his hand on.” After federal agents raided Combs’ homes in March, 50 Cent tweeted: “Now it’s not Diddy do it, it’s Diddy done 🤷🏽♂️they don’t come like that unless they got a case.” He is executive producing a docuseries on the allegations against Combs through his G-Unit Film & Television production company, which 50 Cent and director Alexandria Stapleton said is a “complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.” After the project was announced Wednesday, 50 Cent tweeted, “you didn’t believe me 🤨but I bet you believe me now!”
